Klara Markovicova is a passionate independent history researcher who loves exploring and learning not only about Brighton, but also about other cities and towns in Sussex. She loves English history and she focuses especially on Saxon times, Early modern history, specifically The Tudors, and the Victorian era.

Klara Markovicova, M.A, is a Travel Bright Tours founder, author of Discover the History with KIKA and other several travel photo e-books and a novel Amara. Klara is a passionate traveller, enthusiastic tour guide, English history lover and researcher, and creative person.

Klara was always an adventurous person. As a kid, she loved travelling to thematic summer camps, weekend trips and day tours around the Czech Republic. Her family always brought her and her sister for days out, visiting castles and attending different thematic events.
Growing up, Klara became an activity leader, instructor and teacher. Working with children in combination with her love for the English language brought her to study English and Czech language teaching at the Technical University of Liberec at the Faculty of Science, Humanities and Education. Her love for English history was first noted here when she finalized her Master’s thesis on the topic of Henry VIII and his Six wives. She continued teaching during her studies.
When she moved to Brighton, UK, after her graduation in 2015, and after a few years gaining more experience during her worldwide travels, Klara came back to the education field. He fell in love with her new role of being an activity leader, and later an activities manager in a famous English language school, EF Brighton in 2019. It was right here, when she created, assessed and taught new information, ideas and projects related not only to England’s history for international students.
All these experiences and expertise led her to open her new company Travel Bright Tours.
Currently, Klara focuses fully on England history which is combined with a mindful lifestyle which she’s been living since she was 15 years old. She now provides live history tours, Brighton History Tour, and creates her own artworks and booklets, the latest is „Discover the History of Brighton with KIKA„, films and shares pieces of Brighton and Hove, and Sussex history on her social media, and turns new ideas into the tours and upcoming projects.
Klara’s mission is to give people an opportunity to experience, enjoy and understand the history of England as if it was now, and combine the experience with mindfulness.
